I have avoided Hardy products in the past for a number of reasons, firstly, they are perhaps the best documented of vintage tackle products and secondly, and because of this, and their undeniable quality, they are widely collected and consequently expensive. However, I'm pleased to say Whiteadder's VFFM has now acquired four Hardy rods:
a 14' Double Handed Perfection from 1901 - a monster 2 piece salmon fly rod,
an 11' Perfection trout fly rod from the same year,
an early 7' casting rod with a lot of history, and finally,
an 8' two piece Palakona Perfection from 1955 which is in excellent condition.
These rods will, in time, be featured in the British rods section of the web site.
